Split Thy Skull: Reemergence is a showcase of the most heavy metal beverages in the world: barleywine, mezcal, imperial stouts, amaros, and so many more extreme beverages with support from local artists and a soundtrack of pure metal!
Carrying on the spirit of the original beloved barleywine festival, originally started at Sugar Mom’s in 1995, Split Thy Skull moved to Tattooed Mom for many years until it ended in 2017. Doom and Home Brewed Events have come together for the reemergence of Split Thy Skull, featuring 6 of the boldest beers, 6 of the most extreme spirits, and 6 of the most adventurous art vendors. The festival will be held over two sessions (2pm to 4:30pm and 5:30pm to 8pm) and raising money for Circular Philadelphia. Justin selected this nonprofit to partner with, “ … ”.
Doom’s favorite DJs will be spinning tunes from Philadelphia’s favorite local metal bands. Food will be available for purchase throughout the event, and features a nice vegetarian and vegan selection.
